About Personal Gear Shopper
Personal Gear Shopper is run by me - Peter Toriello, an avid fan and creator of music. I love writing, playing, and recording music and I am constantly in touch with the industry and the exciting gear that is within reach of so many musicians today.
The idea for Personal Gear Shopper came as a half-joking suggestion that I should offer what I was already doing casually for friends as a service. I laughed at first, but the seed grew and I thought that there was no better way to do business than to do what I love to do and help people make music.
I've been interested in music since the fourth grade, and started playing my main instrument (guitar) at the age of 12. I've experienced the gamut when it comes to music - from my formal education at Berklee College of music to playing many different styles of music at venues of all types to recording in expensive studios and in basements.
I am also experienced in the technology field, having been a developer, a webmaster, a systems engineer, and holding other highly-technical positions. Computers are a huge part of making music today, and I know the systems, applications, and technology that drives music production from end to end.
